WHO+WHY
Plastic has become a part of our daily lives, but we have not managed the end products (plastic waste) very well. Plastic is everywhere it shouldn’t be - in our oceans, in our food chains, even inside us.
We aim to put plastic in the only “safe” place for all plastic, to reuse, repurpose and recycle. We are an Australian company based in Darwin NT using local skills and expertise to deliver our products and program across Australia.
The Australian Government has recognised the urgent need for on shore plastics recycling. Around the world bright minds are designing innovative uses for reclaimed plastic waste but governments take years. We have solutions.
In the Netherlands, beautiful floating islands have been made of waste plants for flora, fauna, and humans to enjoy. Portugal is making beautiful artisan pieces for sale, reducing pollution in their own community while providing employment and empowering their community to make change.
In the Northern Territory, 2 community workshops are already repurposing plastic for their communities. A group of volunteers in East Arnhem clean up beaches where plastic has washed up from the Gulf of Carpentaria. One of the drilling rigs are so committed to recycling their plastic waste, they even collect their bottle caps and bread tags to bring in to Darwin Plastic Makers Space
